Empire State of Mind

Cant seem to decide whether or not I'm going to keep the blog. I guess as my life is going on it's too busy and interesting to stop and write down. So much has changed. So much has happened.
Where am I now, I'm in New York, working my ass off as a dog walker and starting grooming on Friday. What I want to do. Getting to where I want to be. Pilot is here, but he's just visiting. My parents need him, and he's going to love being back home in Florida sun and the lanai to explore. City apartment life is not the life for him. City apartment life is hardly the life for me, so I know how he must feel.

Since May..

I can't believe it's been five months since I returned to Florida! I admit as the time I was pretty disappointed about coming back, but it needed to be done. Things really have fallen into place since then. I can genuinely say I'm happy and pleased with everything going on, and proud of where I'm at.

Poodle day rocks. I'm building on my grooming knowledge each day and yesterday I could tell how much I have learned since the last poodle day. :)

Thursday I learned how sharp my shears are;=: Very sharp. Definitely razor sharp. Yap, cut like a razor. I will now be axtra curful.

And so much has changed. Life is so quick!

I need to use blogger more to keep up with pet care and grooming blogs. I need to soak up everything I can!
Vaguely I am very excited. Holy cow!

A fucking atoadaso!

So I'm trying to vacumme the basement like Linh told me to, but the shop-vac doesn't have enough suction to pick up a button. I struggle with this for a few minutes then, try an upright I found in a closet; it blew out clouds of dust and powder. Linh comes downstairs and tells me to take a delivery. I tell him his vacummes suck (no pun intended.). He opens up the uprights and discovers a hole in the bag. Has no spare bags. Says, I can fix this. I start sweeping up the wood floor as Linh walks off. Returns with a large black garbage bag. He starts to wrap the opening on the bag around the vent inside the vacumme, assuring me he can fix it. I say, there is no was that will work. Vacumme bags are specially designed to trap matter while allowing air through. He asks me, You don't think I cant fix this? I say, Not like that, a garbage bag will fill up like a balloon then bust.. He says, I can make stuff happen, you watch. So I watch, he closes the lid to the vacumme and plugs the cord into the outlet high on the wall. Finds the switch, powers on,
There's a Vvvvvvvvv! Then a pop like a tube busting, and then he turns the power off.

That was the highlight of my night (which is to say I had a rough day and or uninteresting day.)

hey, six months.
Lots can go on in six months. i'm going to act as though I never left and pick up from where I left off.

Speaking of never leaving, Winnipeg is pretty great. More on that later.
